Manchester United striker Robin van Persie has not had the best of seasons at Old Trafford spending much of his time on the side-lines out injured, leading to speculation that manager Louis van Gaal would sell him in the summer.

The latest interest in the Dutch international according to The Sun is from Turkish giants Galatasaray and Fenerbahce, who are both willing to offer the 31-year-old a three-year-deal while matching his current £220,000 per-week wages at Manchester United.

Speculation about a move was heightened following reports that van Persie had reached out to his fellow Dutch stars Dirk Kuyt and Wesley Sneijder to find out what life was like living in Turkey.

Now however it appears as if he will turn down a lucrative offer and have another crack at winning the Premier League title with United next season.
