ROBIN VAN PERSIE could be forced to see out his contract at Arsenal.

The Premier League’s top scorer will meet with boss Arsene Wenger and club chief executive Ivan Gazidis for crunch contract talks today.

Van Persie, 29, has just one year left of his current deal and is a target for champions Manchester City.

The Gunners fear he will ask for a move to the Etihad but they are now ready to play tough.

If Van Persie does not take the £130,000-a-week offer the North London club could refuse to sell and make the player see out his contract.

Samir Nasri was in the last year of his contract before being sold to City for £24m last year.

Arsenal could get nearer £30m for RVP but they appear not to want to sell.

They are prepared to offer Van Persie, who scored 30 Premier goals this season, a three-year contract rather than a four-season deal due to his injury record.

Manchester United are also interested while Van Persie’s agent Kees Vos met with Juventus officials on Saturday.
