All the dominoes appear to be moving into place to allow Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea the move to Real Madrid that he so badly wants.

Despite not telling Manchester United of his desire to return to Spain, privately the 24-year-old has said goodbye to all his friends and coaching staff at Old Trafford that the chance to play for Real Madrid and the fact to be close to his family and pop star girlfriend, Edurne García Almagro was just too inviting to pass up.

Yesterday Spanish sports newspaper and virtual Real Madrid mouthpiece Marca ran a story saying De Gea had already agreed personal terms with Los Blanco’s to become the clubs highest ever paid goalkeeper earning 25€ million with a 5€ million bonus.

Add to this the fact that veteran keeper Iker Casillas has been offered a very lucrative contract to play in Turkey for Fenerbahce and the only thing that is still missing is a deal between United and the Spanish giants.

Knowing that Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal is in the market for a top striker Real Madrid is according to the Telegraph ready to offer French international forward Karim Benzema as part of the deal to soften the blow United will have in losing arguably their finest player .

Further news will of course come out over the next few days, but from what we can see it would appear De Gea has made up his mind and will be leaving Old Trafford.
