Spanish giants Real Madrid know that Manchester United is prepared to make a massive offer for winger Gareth Bale in the summer and while Los Blancos could bank a swift £100 million they have decided to test Manchester United’s resolve by telling the Northwest club they can only have Bale if goalkeeping sensation David De Gea moves to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Real Madrid has identified the 24-year-old Spanish international as the man to replace Real Madrid legend Iker Casillas who is already in the process of taking over the job as Spain’s number one keeper from the veteran Casillas.

De Gea has been in top-form for United this season earning himself the nickname “the wall” after making some incredible saves for the Red Devils.

United will not want to part with arguably one of the best keepers in the Premiership and with De Gea entering the final 18-months of his current contract will be eager to tie him down to a new deal.
