Real Madrid hits back at Manchester United

Already frustrated that Manchester United will not accept their £20 million bid for goalkeeper David de Gea, the Spanish giants have hit back with their own demands telling Old Trafford bosses that it will take £65 million to bring 29-year-old Spanish international defender Sergio Ramos to the Premiership.

Ramos has talked up interest in joining the Red Devils, but the speculation is that he is just doing this in order to secure himself a better deal at the Santiago Bernabeu, and that deep down he is truly settled in the Spanish capital with moving the last thing he wants to do.

As for De Gea, United has told Madrid that they want £35 million for the 24-year-old and are not willing to lower their price. At the moment it appears as though the De Gea saga is to continue despite manager Louis van Gaal hoping to have all his summer transfer business done before the team jets off to Seattle for the International Champions Cup on July 17th.
