Liverpool want-away star Raheem Sterling has been subjected to a torrent of abuse, including some racist remarks by angry Liverpool fans after the 20-year-old said that he does not want to go on the clubs pre-season tour, and that he no longer ever wants to play for Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers again.
It all turned decisively ugly after someone posted the England internationals phone number online, with him immediately being bombarded with calls and hundreds of vile Twitter, WhatsApp and text messages.
The majority of Liverpool fans have condemned the action of their fellow supporters claiming it is all going too far.
Meanwhile Sterling is said to have taken screenshots of some of the messages as he considers his next move.
