Chelsea have long since concluded the legal proceedings for their new manager Antonio Conte and in similar vein they are set to complete the signing of new players early in the transfer window.

There are reports that the club have reached an agreement for Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan ahead of the summer transfer window move. The Mirror reported on Monday that representatives from both club were locked in a closed door meeting for 8 straight hours and the outcome was in the affirmative.

Nainggolan is said to be Conte’s no. 1 target next season and has pressed some familiar buttons to facilitate the player’s move to the Stamford Bridge. The 27-year-old has played all his life in Italy and is reportedly relishing the idea of moving to England.

Words have it that John Mikel Obi, whose contract expires next summer, would have to make way for the reported incoming Nainggolan. Although he is certain not to play in the Champions league should he make the move, it is believed that he would be compensated with a bloated wage package.

If he should make the move then Chelsea would finally have the ‘workhorse’ midfielder of their dream – his tireless runs for the full 90 minutes makes him eligible for a random drug test but he is not just brute; he has the technique as well – A player overly worth more than the reported £28 million on the cards for him.
