Four Chelsea fans have been found guilty for their roles in a racist incident on the Paris Metro in which they refused to let French-African Souleymane Sylla board a train, while also being heard to chant “we’re racist, we’re racist, and that’s the way we like it”

Richard Barklie, 50, William Simpson, 26, and Josh Parsons, 21, were banned from attending football matches for four years as district judge Gareth Branston made his ruling at Stratford Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.

Jordan Munday, 20, was given a three-year banning order.

Chelsea condemned the fans involved in the incident at the time, while manager Jose Mourinho said: “We feel ashamed, but maybe we shouldn’t because I refuse to be connected with these people.”
