It what sounds too good to be true French giants Paris Saint-Germain is ready to pay United the £59.7 million they paid to Real Madrid for Argentinian winger Angel Di Maria.

The 27-year-old has struggled at Old Trafford since his big money move from the Spanish capital last summer and would jump at the chance of being given a fresh start in Ligue 1.

United were worried that they would struggle to get back the majority of the money they paid out after Di Maria’s poor performances since arriving in England, but representatives of the French club are working hard on a deal that will see the unsettled Di Maria move to France.

United manager Louis van Gaal would love to have the cash from a Di Maria sale to bring in other players he has now earmarked for the team he is building at Old Trafford, which as it stands now does not feature Colombian striker Radamel Falcao and possibly Robin van Persie who is yet to be offered a new contract with the Northwest powerhouse.

Another player on the move could be fan favourite Juan Mata who is wanted by La Liga side Valencia, as van Gaal prepares to spend big this coming summer.
