Just after his excessive congratulatory tweets on the Michael Schumacher hospital release, Arsenal and Germany forward, Lukas Podolski has once again done the comical and ridiculous over the social media platform, Instagram.

This time, Podolski adds to the growing amounts of mockery and jeers meted out to Ashley Cole, the former Arsenal, Chelsea and England left back.

The left back recently moved to Roma after he seemed surplus to requirements in the current Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea side.

However for Arsenal, he had taken the stick from fans and loyalists of the North London club for his move to fierce rivals Chelsea in very controversial circumstance that saw William Gallas move the opposite direction.

Lukas Podolski pulled a brilliant troll on Cole by making a photoshop of the player somewhat gate crashing into the Arsenal team picture for the season and captioning it: ‘‘Whoever says taking team pictures is boring has never taken pictures with us… 🙂 #Poldi #aha #LP9 #goodtimes #keepsmiling #AFC #Together #Teamphoto #lurking #AFC #RedArmy.’’

Though with an admirable personality and a fan’s favourite, many believe that Podolski should work more to gain the manager’s confidence and score more goals for Arsenal rather than wasting valuable time on social media tweeting and photoshoping excessively.

The use of social media has been limited by some mangers especially the new Manchester United Dutch manger, Louis Van Gaal, so as to prevent the players from discouraging statements made by some fans and to make them remain focused on the plan for the season.

Lukas Podolski, who recently spoke of his desire to get more playing time upfront, after barely a survival to stay at Arsenal, was the subject of transfer speculations linking him to a flurry of teams in Germany, Turkey and all across Europe.

He was sidelined for many games last season due to injury and could only afford 12 goals in 27 mostly cameo appearances for the Gunners last term.

He started last season impressively well and could have made more impact had he not been injured. But now, with the inclusion of Alexis Sanchez, Joel Campbell and Danny Welbeck to an attack line which already has Olivier Giroud, though injured, Yaya Sanogo and Theo Walcott, the chances of Podolski would so much reduce this term.

However, at this time Podolski should be more interested in breaking into the first team and helping Arsenal lift trophies rather than over-using the social media platforms.

While many fans loved the idea of trolling Ashley Cole, many others are of the opinion that jeers, banter and attacks should be left to the fans to throw at opposing fans and players but not an active footballer.

Podolski has not been very involved in Arsenals season so far and many lovers of the player are so disappointed that instead of working hard to ensure a better appearance and impact at Arsenal, Podolski now takes on the job of a fan trolling rival players.

He recently revealed that Arsene Wenger’s confidence and trust made him stay at Arsenal after many interest from outside England and he is more than expected to do more to repay the manager and the fans this season.
