Chelsea, Liverpool

With Brendan Rodgers dropping Liverpool number one goalkeeper Simon Mignolet in favour of Brad Jones it is obvious that the Reds will be in the market for a new shot stopper either this January or in the summer.

Knowing this former Chelsea number one goalkeeper Petr Cech’s agent Viktor Kolar is urging the Reds to make Chelsea an offer for his player that they would find hard to turn down.

The Czech international has also been linked with Real Madrid, and with Jose Mourinho eager to sign Sami Khedira it is always possible that Cech could be a part of that deal.

Speaking to the Daily Mirror about his player Kolar said: “It’s unlikely Petr will leave Chelsea in the January transfer window. The club and coach want to keep him to help win the title. I think Arsenal should have made an offer to him. I think Petr would be considering it.

“Liverpool needs to strengthen their position in goal and they know Petr will be available in the summer.
