Petr Cech to be new Arsenal No.1

Chelsea back-up goalkeeper Petr Cech is 99% certain that he will be playing first-team football at the Emirates next season, after having been given permission to talk to other clubs about a transfer.

The 32-year-old shot-stopper has a host of admirers that include Liverpool, Roma, Inter Milan and Manchester United according to the Daily Star ,who think that should he join Arsenal and that the Gunners would be sending out a strong message of intent for next season.

Cech would prefer to join Arsenal over any of the other suitors as it would just mean the 32-year-old having to take a different drive to work each day having minimal impact on him and his family.

Meanwhile Jose Mourinho has said he will not sell to a rival club, but the ultimate decision could come down to owner Roman Abramovich to decide if Cech can join Arsenal or not.

Arsenal will have to pay around £10 million for Cech, and given the goalkeepers loyalty to the club, we here at Soccer transfers feel it would be a huge disservice if he was stopped from joining Arsenal.
