Arsenal veteran midfielder Mikel Arteta claims that the arrival of former Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech at the Emirates has given the team a new found confidence for next season.
After having spent 11 years at Chelsea, Cech is now ready to make his first appearance as a Gunner in Singapore when Arsenal takes on an all-star Singapore XI later today.
“His ambition is still there even though he has won everything in England and in Europe,” said Arteta.
“Those type of signings give a lift to the whole team. He’s not just a good goalkeeper. He has experience and ambition. The decision he made to come here after being a legend at Chelsea was not easy.”
