Line-Up: Manchester United team to play West Brom

Manchester United plans to sign high rated Algerian midfielder Sofiane Feghouli has been dealt a major blow with reports claiming he has agreed personal terms with Turkish side Fenerbahce and will be joining the Turkish side in the summer on a free transfer. He has reportedly agreed to sign a five year contract with Fenerbahce.

Manchester United vice CEO Ed Woodward was said to be keen on signing the African and have been talking with his representatives for some time. The Algerian had been linked with a move to Manchester United in January but Valencia refused to sell which annoyed the player which led to him not to renew his contract.

Feghouli was said to have been talking with the officials of Manchester United and various reports claim he would certainly be at Old Trafford this summer but if the new reports are true, United can forget signing the player.

However, a look at Feghouli’s statistics shows Manchester United will not be missing much by not signing him. So far this season, he has played 21 games in the La Liga for Valencia and has only scored once which is a stat that is by any standard very poor. United should be aiming higher than Feghouli.

The Algerian is no doubt a good player unfortunately not Manchester United standard.
