Barcelona winger Pedro has moved one step closer to becoming a Manchester United player after the 28-year-old agreed personal terms to move to Old Trafford.

Manager Louis van Gaal is looking at Pedro not to become a replacement for the Paris Saint-Germain bound Angel Di Maria, but the man who will replace Robin van Persie in the Red devils attack.

According to Catalan sports newspaper Sport, United have agreed personal terms with Pedro after offering him much more money than he was earning at the Nou Camp, and more importantly for the player a promise of regular first-team football.

The only hold up now to completing the deal is that United has offered Barcelona £17.7 million plus another £3.5 million in bonuses even though Barcelona has told United they want Pedro’s entire transfer fee paid up-front.
