The father of new Arsenal signing Mesut Özil has blasted the Real Madrid president Florentino Perez over his remarks about his son after Los Blancos boss Perez said that his son is unprofessional and “obsessed with women.”
Mustafa Özil, Mesut’s dad and agent told the German newspaper Bild that Perez was trying to smear his son after the Spanish giants sold him to Arsenal for £42 million.
Just because a person earns a lot of money, he is not automatically a man of honour. And Perez is not a man of honour.
Mesut has been turned into a scapegoat. And I’m the greedy father who has just been waiting for the big money move.
It’s a set-up, and lousy business. We will legally defend themselves. The people who know me know how professional I am.
