According to Spanish daily Sports newspaper MARCA Mesut Özil wants to snub Arsenal, and stay at Real Madrid, yet despite what he says everything is pointing to an exit from the Santiago Bernabeu after not playing a single minute in yesterday’s 3-1 victory over Athletic Bilbao despite being a starter for the previous two league games against Betis and Granada.
The talk in Madrid is that he will be sold to Manchester United, Arsenal, or Paris Saint-Germain with all three clubs interested in signing the 24-year-old German international.
News of his departure could come late though as real Madrid have a lot of business to complete today as they look to get back some of the £86 million they spent for Gareth Bale.
