liverpool,

Now here is a question for all you Reds fans out there, who will be Liverpool’s designated penalty taker now that Steven Gerrard has jetted off to America to join the LA Galaxy.

Our first guess here at Soccer Transfers was Brazilian midfielder Philippe Coutinho, yet convention seems to suggest the job will go to new captain Jordan Henderson, and while we do not want to go against the clubs new leader, there is an argument to be made that the team has better choices such as Adam Lallana who has always appears to be cool as a cucumber when shooting from 12-yards out.

Add to this the fact that both new signings Danny Ings and Christian Benteke were the designated penalty takers at their previous clubs, and you get the feeling that if manager Brendan Rodgers has not sorted it out already it is something that needs to be decided soon.
