Cement and commodities tycoon Aliko Dangote is the richest man in Africa with an estimated fortune of $15.7 billion.

The 58-year-old Nigerian is also a huge Gooner still dreaming of owning the club one day despite failing to take over the club in 2010.

The previous set back has not deterred Dangote however telling financial media outlet Bloomberg that he still dreams of owning the club one day.

I still hope, one day at the right price, that I’ll buy the team. I might buy it, not at a ridiculous price but a price that the owners won’t want to resist. I know my strategy.

We have $16 billion-worth of investments in the next few years. Right now I want to take my own business to a certain level. Once I finish on that trajectory, then maybe [I’ll bid again for Arsenal].

Dangote has in the past criticised Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, saying that the 65-year-old Frenchman “needs to change his style a bit” while also saying the club “need new direction”.
