If you were still not sure how Neymar was going to fit in at the Nou Camp you can take heart from his performance against Brazilian side Santos, and while it was only an exhibition game it was still the first time that Barcelona’s marquee signing had played in front of the home crowd.

With the game all but won when the Catalans scored their fourth goal of the evening the Brazilian starlet came on as a substitute and was right away in the thick of the action.

He did not manage to score but provided a little bit of magic when after cutting in from the left he casually strolled with the ball into the box almost as if we was out for a walk very similar in fact to a move fashioned by the late great George Best, and while people might say he was putting on a show he was in fact waiting for the arrival of Cesc Fabregas who latched onto Neymar’s pass smashing the ball into the net for Barcelona’s sixth goal of the evening.
