Manchester United have been given a major boost in their bid to make their first signing ahead of the opening of the transfer window. Tagged the “new Robben” Tahith Chong is said to be close to a move to Manchester United according to various reports in the Dutch and British media.
The high rated youngster has been on Manchester United radar for sometime, last winter, it was reported Manchester United have opened discussion with the representatives of the player but the talks stalled due mainly because the player himself refused to leave the comfort of his home.
Reports claim the 16-year-old Dutchman who has also attracted interest from the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool, is now ready to make the money and discussion is now advanced between the player’s representatives and Manchester United deal makers.
Althoug mainly a left winger, he is alos able to play in front as a striker and behind the striker. Tahith has so far refused to pen a new deal with his Eredivisie club side and with just a few months left on his contract, United have a strong chance of beating the other interested club to his signature.
It is been reported that the Red Devils are using the way the duo of Marcus Rashford and Timothy Fosu-Mensah have been integrated into the first team to assure Tahith his future lies with the Old Trafford outfit and not with Arsenal or Chelsea or Liverpool.
