Website Football Direct News is claiming that Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho is interested in signing Manchester United defender Phil Jones.
The 22-year-old England international seems a surprise choice after having a rather dismal season under David Moyes yet the Portuguese manager sees the young defender as a replacement for David Luiz who looks as though he will be sold to either Bayern Munich or Barcelona.
Jones joined Manchester United in 2011 and has gone on to make 104 appearances for the club playing in a number of defensive positions ranging from a defensive midfielder to playing at right back.
It may very well be his ability to play in different positions that got the attention of the Chelsea boss as he also looks to get rid of John Obi Mike
The question that no one has asked though is whether or not Manchester United would be interested in selling him.
