Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf is reporting this morning that a deal between Manchester United and Southampton is very close to completion for French international midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin, and that all what is left to do is for both clubs to finally settle on a transfer fee.
The 25-year-old defensive midfielder was always seen as a possible target for Arsenal, but apparently manger Arsene Wenger was not prepared to pay the £25 million fee that Southampton were asking, which opened the door for Manchester United to seal a deal which now almost certainly will see Schneiderlin at Old Trafford next season.
