Mexico World Cup Stars feature in New Pepsi Commercial

It would appear as if Mexican soccer hero’s Cuauhtemoc Blanco, Paco Palencia and Luis Hernandez were not worried about the latest news regarding two of the world’s favourite soft drinks Pepsi and Coca Cola after the multinational companies both announced that they will remove brominated vegetable oil from their drinks.

This controversial chemical is added to make sure that the other ingredients in the drink do not separate.

Pepsi removed BVO from Gatorade last year and together with Coca cola have pledged to remove it from all their products after numerous petitions from Change.org claimed that it had been patented as a flame retardant.

This news of course had no sway on the soccer players who portrayed their trademark behaviour as a rallying call to the Mexican national team to perform well in Brazil this summer.

While Blanco did not do his famous bunny hop preferring to use Usain Bolts lightening gesticulation as a goal celebration, Paco Palencia showed off his black nail polish while Luis Hernandez wore his simple black headband.

Have a look at Pepsi’s new Mexican commercial below and see if you like it as much as we did
