Despite buying himself a little breathing room following United 4-1 win over Aston Villa at Old Trafford over the weekend the Red Devils board of directors are weighing up their options should they decide that Moyes has to go.

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti is under pressure at the Santiago Bernabéu with Real Madrid battling with Barcelona in both La Liga and the Copa del Rey. With both top teams facing a title challenge from Atletico Madrid for the first time in years.

Real Madrid lost last week to Barcelona in the league and now play Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League midweek and should Los Blancos fail to get past their Bundesliga opponents and not win La Liga it could spell the end of Ancelotti in Madrid.

The big home defeat to Manchester City raised concerns over Moyes is the right man for the job at Old Trafford with long time United player Ryan Giggs supposedly not agreeing with the Scots training methods.

Should United suffer a large home defeat against Bayern Munich on Tuesday it could prove to be the final straw for a team that is used to success, and while Dortmund’s Jürgen Klopp or Atletico’s Diego Simeone have both mean mentioned as possible replacements the 54-year-old Italian would be a much better bet, and just the man to groom United’s class of ’92 – Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes and Phil Neville as coaches.
