Manchester United told Lloris is available for £30m

Manchester United have been given the green light by Tottenham to sign French international goalkeeper Hugo Lloris, but they will have to pay Spurs £30 million for him according to the Star.

The northwest giants appear to be making moves to find a replacement for 24-year-old shot-stopper David De Gea after the Spaniard is yet to sign a new contract at Old Trafford.

Real Madrid sees De Gea as a natural replacement for veteran keeper Iker Casilas and plan to make a move for him this summer.

Another possible scenario is that De Gea remains at United until his contract expires at the end of next season, and Los Blanco’s target a keeper like Chelsea’s Petr Cech to fill in till then.

The current situation however is pointing to an Old Trafford exit now and a move by United for Lloris.

Lloris is arguably one of Europe’s best goalkeepers giving Louis van Gaal no hesitation in handing over £30 million.

Expect more news on the situation in the coming days.
