Manchester United will swap the currently on-loan at Real Madrid Javier Hernandez for French international centre-back Adil Rami at the end of the season according to Anthony Chapman of the Daily Express.

If you take a look at Louis van Gaal’s squad you will immediately say that there is an imbalance between offensive and defensive players with forward thinking players much more in evidence.

Despite the fact that only three-teams in the Premiership have conceded less goals than United, much can be put down to the exploits of goalkeeper David De Gea who has been magical in the Red Devils nets.

If you take this into account it is not surprising that LVG would be willing to trade an attacker for a defender, and not just any defender, but one who has the reputation of being a strong physical presence and a tough tackler similar to his AC Milan teammate Philippe Mexes.

Here at Soccer Transfers we think that having Rami in the United defence is a good move on the part of LVG and it will make the team an even more frightening prospect for the 2015/2016 season with the 29-year-old Frenchman in it.

Have a look at Rami in action below, and see what you think.
