Manchester United to sign Brazilian

Manchester United is ready to beat Real Madrid, Sao Paulo and Udinese in signing Brazilian starlet Bruno Gomes.

The young Brazilian was on trial with the northwest giants last summer, and was expected to sign for United on his 18th birthday, but as of now no contracts have been signed.

According to news out of South America  Gomes still wants to sign for United, but Sao Paulo are desperate to try and persuade him to stay in Brazil and play for them.

Manchester United have first refusal over Gomes, but only up to a certain financial amount which means that if say Real Madrid put in a bid above that amount they could steal him away from the Red Devils.

Former manager Sir Alex Ferguson was a big fan of the 17-year-old, and it is likely that new manager David Moyes will step up his effort to make sure he is playing at Old Trafford, and not in the Santiago Bernabéu.
