Manchester United manager David Moyes will make a determined bid of £30 million for Atletico Madrid midfielder Koke once the transfer window opens in January.

The Manchester United boss has been to watch the talented 21-year-old twice now and was so impressed with his performance that he is willing to make him his number one winter signing.

Koke has been in the headlines this season after some impressive performances for his club that have made national team manager Vicente Del Bosque add him to the team that will travel to Brazil next summer.

Arsenal, Liverpool and Bayern Munich have all been tracking the midfielder but Moyes is determined to get his man by going after him now rather than waiting until the summer.

Moyes could have signed the youngster for £17 million last summer, but he has since signed a new contract with his Spanish club that includes a 35€ million buyout clause.

With summer signing Marouane Fellaini out for two months Moyes is desperate to sign a midfielder in an attempt to replace Paul Scholes and thinks that Koke is the man to do it.
