Manchester United has apparently beaten Arsenal to the signing of Southampton defensive midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin, with the Red Devils set to make an announcement later today following the 25-year-old’s medical at Carrington yesterday.
Schneiderlin tops what has been a busy weekend for United with Bayern Munich’s Bastian Schweinsteiger and Torino’s Matteo Darmian also joining the Frenchman at Old Trafford.
Meanwhile Arsenal will be disappointed not to have landed Schneiderlin, but Wenger knows what he is doing and was not prepared to get into a bidding war for a player he liked, but did not necessarily need.
