Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has told the clubs hierarchy that they must go all out next summer and sign Tottenham’s Harry Kane.

The Spurs striker was heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford last summer, with some reports even suggesting that the Red Devils put an offer on the table for the 22-year-old England international.

The suggestion was that United offered the north London club just £25 million falling way short of Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy’s valuation.

Italian football news outlet Calciomercato is citing reports by beIN SPORTS that say van Gaal is insisting they sign Kane next summer even if it costs more than United is prepared to pay.
