According to Spanish football expert Guillem Balague Manchester United will test Valencia’s resolve to keep hold off Argentinian defender Nicolas Otamendi with a 50€ million bid (£36.8m).
Manchester United has had scouts watching the 27-year-old all season going as far as to make an enquiry as to his availability in January.
The bid at the time was knocked back and United now appears ready to submit a bid that will trigger his release clause.
Valencia meanwhile looks set to qualify for Champions League football and have decided to make keeping hold of Otamendi their main summer focus which means United may be in for a battle to land the tough tackling star.
