There is no doubt remaining that Borussia Dortmund midfielder Ilkay Gundogan will be leaving the Signal Iduna Park this summer after the clubs CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke told Sport-BILD that the 24-year-old would not be a part of the North Rhine Westphalia team next season.
“Gundogan will be leaving Borussia Dortmund this summer, that is a fact,” Watzke said.
“I am very confident we will see various clubs coming in for him. It has not been our intention to see him leaving. It was his ambition to move clubs (this summer).
“Therefore we agreed. We will sell him and modify our general future plans (in midfield) due to this!”
