Sources at Sky are saying that Robin van Persie is edging closer to a switch to Fenerbahce, after the Istanbul based side tweeted that they had begun talks with the Manchester United striker.
According to Sky sources all that is left to do if for the 31-year-old Dutch striker to sign papers after he flies out to Turkey on Sunday before being presented to the fans sometime on Monday.
So far there has been no comment from Manchester United to confirm a deal has been done with Fenerbahce, but here at Soccer Transfers we think it is a done deal and the news will break from Old Trafford over the weekend.
