It is evident to all watching that the future of Manchester United striker Robin van Persie lies somewhere other than Old Trafford as manager Louis van Gaal prepares to go to the transfer market for a younger front-man.

Just the other day RVP was being linked with a move to Lazio, but now Tuttosport claim the Dutchman has offered his services to Italian champions Juventus.

Over the weekend the 31-year-old former Arsenal man suggested he would rather move clubs than see himself used solely as a substitute.

I still speak to my old mate Patrice [Evra]. He has told me stories about how Juventus train, how hard they work and how they manage to be successful.

They have a fantastic spirit – a totally different approach from English or Dutch players before games. They grab each other by the head, they shout at each other to pump each other up.

And they also have big running sessions after games. Patrice has showed me there are many ways to be successful.

All eyes will be on LVG bringing in a new striker, and if he gets who he wants it will mean an end to RVP’s days at Old Trafford.
