With right-back Rafael da Silva set to leave Old Trafford this summer it would appear as if manager Louis van Gaal will once more look to the Netherlands for a replacement after it now looks like Porto’s Brazilian ace Danilo will be moving to Real Madrid.

The player Manchester United now has in the frame to replace Rafael, is 27-year-old Paris Saint-Germain defender Gregory van der Wiel, according to reports.

The PSG defender is rated highly for his pace along with his tackling ability and passing accuracy and could be available for as little as £9 million which would hardly dent van Gaal’s expected £150 million war chest.
