Reports coming out of Spain today suggest that Manchester United is putting together a £57 million bid for Bayern Munich ace Robert Lewandowski according to Spanish media outlet Mundo Deportivo via the Daily Star.

Manchester United have been having difficulty finding the back of the net this season and at one point went 404 minutes without scoring.

Captain Wayne Rooney has been a shadow of his former self, forcing manager Louis van Gaal to rely on youngsters Memphis Depay and Anthony Martial for the Red Devils goals.

Bayern Munich meanwhile will be looking to keep hold of the 27-year-old Polish international, but now that trainer Pep Guardiola has announced he will be leaving the Bavarian giants at the end of the season it could signal big changes at the Allianz Arena.
