There was plenty of talk over the summer linking Manchester United with a move for Real Madrid star Gareth Bale, but a deal to bring the Welshman now looks further away than ever after the former Tottenham wingers agent Jonathan Barnett rubbished all talk of a possible move to Manchester United next summer.
According to the Daily Express there was no contact made between Manchester United and Bale during the summer transfer window, and that as far as his agent is concerned Bale is set to now finish his footballing career at the Santiago Bernabeu.
While speaking about the rumours surrounding his client Barnett said: ‘He has come nowhere near being transferred in the past few months.’
‘He is very happy at Real Madrid and hopefully he will stay there for the rest of his career. He is loving it there.’
