With the David De Gea to Real Madrid saga set to rumble on Manchester United has apparently laid down the law to real Madrid telling the Spanish giants that the only way they will let David de Gea move back to Spain is if they sell Sergio Ramos to United.

The way things look to us here at Soccer Transfer right now, is that unless Sergio Ramos pushes for a move away from the Santiago Bernabeu we are left with a Mexican standoff with neither team willing to give up ground on their demands.

For their part Real Madrid already has a top class goalkeeper in Costa Rican international Keylor Navas, and with the re-signing of Espanyol goalkeeper Kiko Casilla for £4.2 million the Spanish giants can now sit back and wait until De Gea’s contract expires next summer and pick up the 24-year-old as a free agent, while also saving millions that they would have to pay to Manchester United for his services now.

Should the situation between the two clubs be resolved United is thought to already have a new keeper lined up, but as things stand right now we will just have to wait and see who blinks first.
