If the news that German sports television channel SPORT1 is correct, we can forget about Louis van Gaal saying that he was content to use Wayne Rooney, James Wilson and Javier Hernandez next season as the clubs only strikers after SPORT1 claim the Red Devils have submitted a massive £69.6 million bid for Bayern Munich’s Thomas Muller.
After having already lost Bastian Schweinsteiger to Manchester United the Bavarians will be reluctant to see another of their star players move to Old Trafford and given the fact that German international Muller is only 25-year-old means they would be allowing the clubs future to leave.
United reportedly had a £57 million bid already rejected by the German Champions, but this latest bid takes the transfer up to the Paul Pogba level and must surely give the bosses at the Allianz Arena something to think about.
