It would appear as if Manchester United has pulled off quite a coup by managing to persuade Barcelona full-back Dain Alves to move to Old Trafford.
Catalan football daily Sport is claiming that the 32-year-old Brazilian has agreed to join Louis van Gaal’s team after their offer far exceeded what Barcelona had put on the table to keep him at the Nou Camp.
Alves is a free agent this summer and it is believed that Manchester United have offered him a huge signing bonus in order to facilitate his move to England.
The newspaper goes on to say that Alves had always wanted to stay in Spain but became frustrated by the way Barcelona was treating him.
