manchester united,

Manchester Unite have striked a verbal agreement with former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho and the deal will be sealed and signed once Manchester United owners the Glazers family finally approve the deal. Current Manchester United manager Louis Van Gaal is expected to leave Old Trafford this summer and Jose Mourinho will be his replacement.

Under Van Gaal, Manchester United have failed to win a single trophy and will most likely not be playing in the Champions league next season as they are current fifth on the table behind Manchester City who occupies the fourth and final Champions League qualification place.

With Antonio Conte officially becoming Chelsea manager yesterday and Manchester City announcing in February that Pep Guardiola will be their next manager, Manchester United want to bring in a world class manager to give them a chance to fight for the title next season – for the first time since Sir Alex left in 2012.

Jose Mourinho who was in December sacked by Chelsea is surely a world class manager, he is a manager who is able to bring back Manchester United’s glory days. Signing the Portuguese will be a sensible appointment by United but the Glazers need to show their hands very fast as Valencia are also said to be keenly interested in making Mourinho their manager against next season.

With Jorge Mendes closes pals with Valencia owner Peter Lim, if United do not move very fast, Mourinho may sign for Valencia and should that happen, United may be stuck with Louis Van Gaal for another year as all the big name managers are tied with one club to the other.
