Manchester United appears to be on the verge of signing Barcelona right-back Dani Alves after reports coming out of Spain carried by the Daily Mirror suggest that the 31-year-old Brazilian is ready to snub both Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain for a move to United when his contract with the Catalan giants ends this summer.

The deal is set to be announced this week once Alves puts pen to paper, and while Manchester United will not have to pay a transfer fee, they will have to agree to pay Alves’s massive £150,000 per-week salary demand.
