Manchester United is determined to bring CR7 back to Old Trafford

According to the Manchester Evening news, Manchester United is trying to re-sign Cristiano Ronaldo six years after he left the club to sign for Real Madrid in a world-record £80 million deal.

The paper is reporting that United is working on a deal which if successful would break the clubs record signing fee of £59.7 million for Argentinian winger Angel Di Maria last summer.

Now just recently turned 30 the Real Madrid star is said to be unhappy about the arrival of new trainer Rafa Benitez at the club after having publically supported former coach Carlo Ancelotti to remain in charge.

Ronaldo is also perplexed by Rafa Benitez’s plans to play him as a centre-forward rather than on his favoured left-hand side of the park.

The Portuguese international was also caught on camera losing it with Benitez during a recent training session in Australia, losing control on two occasions when first having a gaol disallowed, and then being ordered to try and hit the crossbar with a shot.

He is also upset with the way the club treated goalkeeper Iker Casillas forcing him out after a lifetime at the club to make way for Manchester United’s David De Gea.

Will a deal get done for Ronaldo we will have to wait and see, but given the current negotiations between the two clubs it’s hard to imagine they could agree on anything.
