As fans in the Northwest prepare for the local derby between Manchester United and Manchester City at Old Trafford on October 25th, the Red Devils have been handed a big bonus for what could be a title topping affair following injuries to both Sergio Aguero and David Silva while on international duty.

Aguero suffered a strained hamstring during Argentina’s 2-0 loss to Ecuador, and is almost certainly going to be out for a month, while Silva hobbled off the pitch after just nine minutes during Spain’s 4-0 victory over Luxemburg. A statement from Spain later confirmed his injury as “a bad sprain of the internal lateral ligament of the right ankle” and said he would definitely miss next week’s game against Ukraine.

Meanwhile Spanish sports newspaper AS reports that he will probably be side-lined for two to three weeks which in all reality makes him doubtful for the game against United.
