Manchester United could miss out on signing two players they had earmarked as possible additions to Louis van Gaal’s team according to Italian football expert Max Evangelista who claims that French Champions Paris Saint-Germain are the red-hot favourites to sign Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba.

Juventus is also very interested in Uruguay striker Edinson Cavani who is said to be looking to move away from the Parc des Princes where he must play second fiddle to Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

“There are lots rumours Paul Pogba will leave Juventus,” Evangelista told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show. “There are lots of clubs interested.

“The most prominent seems to be Paris Saint Germain. They are offering millions on the table, plus Edinson Cavani, which is a man [Juventus manager] Massimo Allegri has been looking at.”

Cavani was a hero during his time in Italy while playing for Napoli and could very well relish the opportunity to once more play in Serie A rather than move to the English Premiership.
