According to Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal if once the move to Paris Saint-Germain is completed for Angel Di Maria, the Red Devils will go after Barcelona forward Pedro, and that if they are successful LVG believes he is the man that can help bring the Premiership title to Old Trafford.
The Dutchman has always said that his side still lacked pace, and that he thinks the 28-year-old World Cup winner is the man to deliver the speed that has been missing.
He told the Sun: “Barcelona have the speed of Neymar and Messi — and they have Pedro behind them. We have to compete with that.
“We can win the title if we can buy players with speed and creativity. We have to improve our selection in that way.
“They are our competitors. Chelsea have Hazard, Willian, Oscar — that is speed and creativity.”
