Manchester United boss LVG is worried ahead of clash with Middlesbrough

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal is worried about the fatigue factor to some of his players ahead of tonight’s Capital One Cup tie against Championship side Middlesbrough following last weekend’s hard fought 0-0 draw with Manchester City at Old Trafford.

Despite the fact it is only October the Dutchman is worried that several of his players are at risk of becoming injured due to fatigue.

Van Gaal said: “I have a lot of players in the red zone because we have had a lot of matches and we have a lot of matches to play.

“I have to see if I can use them or not, I have to decide before the game.

“We need all the days to recover at this moment, so it is difficult to say. I have to select the line-up and that I don’t know.”

The “Red Zone” is a term the Red Devils use to describe a players fitness level based on computer analysis.
