Manchester City to steal Ramos and Otamendi from Manchester United

Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini is set to Hijack Manchester United’s transfer of Sergio Ramos and Nicolas Otamendi according to reports.

Manchester City is still looking for a centre-half, and given United’s failure to seal a deal, feel as though they are entitled to enter the race with a bid of their own to entice one of the two, to choose the Etihad over Old Trafford.

Ramos is due to have face to face talks with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez over his future, and despite the polite overtones towards Manchester United should he decide to leave Real Madrid it will all be down to length of contract and the amount of money he will receive.

Valencia defender Otamendi’s agents meanwhile have been in touch with City, feeling like United’s cross town rivals would offer their man a better deal, and with what should have been a cut and dry transfer for the 27-year-old Argentinian international you cannot help but get the feeling that Otamendi is van Gaal’s second choice should he fail to sign Ramos, with City keeping a close eye on negotiations for both players.
