Sky Sports is reporting news from their sources that claim Manchester City is about to enter the race to sign Barcelona winger Pedro, but are yet to make a bid.
Contradicting, yet adding to the story is Sky Spanish football expert Guillem Balague, who claims City, has already submitted a bid for the 28-year-old knowing that the Catalan club is reluctant to budge on their £22 million valuation.
He told Sky Sports News HQ: “At the moment, what we understand is that Manchester United are willing to go to €28m (£20m) plus another €2m (£1.4m) in variables, so they’re very close to it.
“But City is willing to pay – and this is a recent offer – €30m (£21.4m) plus another €2m (£1.4m), so above the buyout clause.”
